Each faculty in the school has 'the development of employability skills' and 'ensuring that all individual students are on track for leaving school with a positive destination of their choice' as priorities for the years ahead.
Staff will work with employers to help ensure that their own knowledge of the modern workplace and labour market information is up to date. Some of our staff have already been on Teacher Industry Placement days that have proved to be extremely beneficial to teachers and also the employers involved.
Departments across the school have provided aspects of career education in a variety of ways, including:
Group Visits to sites/offices
Joint Project/research work
Guest speakers in classes
Spoken to classes about their own career journeys
Supported Work Placements
Helped with Volunteering and Leadership groups
Supported individuals with applications
